This article won’t go around in circles talking about mindsets or big-picture strategies. Instead, it will focus on how I made my first sales on TikTok from a brand-new account with 0 followers.

1. Create Your TikTok Channel

To set up a TikTok channel and enable affiliate marketing, you’ll need:

  • A phone number
  • An ID card (CCCD)
  • An email address
  • TikTok app (from CH Play or Apple Store)
  • Seller Center app

Here’s what to do in 2 simple steps:

  • Step 1: Create a TikTok account based on the niche you want (the more unique and specific the name, the better).
  • Step 2: Log in to the Seller Center with your TikTok account. Then, take a photo of both sides of your ID and verify via Facebook.

2. Write Your Scripts

Use ChatGPT to write your scripts. I personally chose to sell books because there are endless options, and I don’t have to put in much thought to create content.

Here’s how I approach it:

  • First command: “List the top 10 best marketing books of all time.” This gives me 10 book ideas to work with initially.
  • Second command: “Pretend to be a marketing expert and give 5 reasons why users should read ‘The Secret of Marketing’ right now.”

3. Create Video Using AI

There are many websites that let you create videos using AI, but I chose Kreadoai because it’s completely free and doesn’t require buying credits.

What you need to do:

  • Copy and paste your script into the tool.
  • Select an avatar for the character.
  • Create the video! It will generate a green-screen video, allowing you to easily edit it afterward.

4. Edit Videos with CapCut

There are plenty of photo editing software options, but I personally like CapCut for video editing. It’s simple, easy to use, and free. Plus, there are tons of tutorials on YouTube, so if you’re unsure about how to use a specific effect, just search for it and you’ll find step-by-step instructions.

5. Post Your Videos & Add Products

For the first 3 videos, I suggest you post content around 3 books in the same category — for example, 3 books about sales, or 3 books about marketing, or 3 books about personal development.

In the first week, aim to post 2 videos a day to test which time slots bring in the most views. I usually post at 11 AM and 7 PM to see which time works best for my channel.

6. Avoid Flopping with Your Videos

To prevent your account from flopping, avoid logging into the same TikTok account on multiple phones. It’s better to use a new phone or reset your current one to its factory settings.

If you log into 2 or 3 accounts on the same phone, your content will get mixed up, and TikTok will have a harder time distributing it to your target audience.

Conclusion: This process has been shared and successfully used by many others. I hope it helps newcomers get started with affiliate marketing on TikTok! 😘
